Sweet House (kids singing)

Here's another lovely song from our books.

The lyrics are:

Sweet house, sweet house,
Open the door and let us in.

A house made of chocolate,
A house made of chocolate,
Yum, yum, yum!

(A house made of ice cream, A house made of cake, A house made of biscuits)

This is how my II4 class sang it at the beginning of June 2010:
Natalia Sakal, II6
Tijana Varađanin, II2
Anja Vučić, II2

Days of the Week (kids chanting)

This chant is perfect for learning and revising the days of the week. A lot of my pupils find it amusing and ask to chant it every lesson.

Here are the words:

Monday, Tuesday, Monday, Tuesday,
Two days of the week,
Two days of the week,
But what's next?
Wednesday!

(and so on, until you come to Sunday)

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
Seven days of the week,
Seven days of the week,
But what's next?
Next week!

This is how my classes II2 and II4 chanted in June 2010:

The Wheels on the Bus (kids singing)

My younger pupils find this song super, especially the mummy and baby part.

Here are the lyrics to sing along, but don't forget the moves:

The wheels on the bus go round and round,
round and round, round and round.
The wheels on the bus go round and round,
all day long.

(the children on the bus go wriggle, wriggle, wriggle; the mummies on the bus go don't do that, don't do that, don't do that; the daddies on the bus go read, read, read; the babies on the bus go whaa, whaa, whaa)

Here's the performance of my class II1 in June 2010:
