Municipal Foreign Languages Competition 2020

Municipal Foreign Languages Competition took place on 23 February 2020. Five of my oldest students took part, but two qualified for the next round. Tijana won the second place with 36 points and Nemanja won the third place with 32 points.

Compared to some tests from previous years, this one was a bit easier, but tricky for most students who were asked to:
- circle the correct verb to complete the phrases;
- fill in the blanks with the correct form of the given verbs;
- choose the correct answer;
- complete the text with the appropriate article;
- underline and correct the mistakes in the given paragraph;
- make questions for the underlined words;
- put the words in the correct order.

Alphabet of the Living World

The topic of animals is one of my younger students' favourite topics. Thanks to the eTwinning project Alphabet of the Living World they widened their knowledge on animal kingdom and also learned more about different plants.

Here's the online alphabet of animals and plants.

English Speaking Countries

After we had talked about Australia, read informative texts about this country, and listened to some famous Australian singers and bands, each of my Class 8 students did a research on one of the English speaking countries from the offered list. Divided into smaller groups, they created presentations about sights, food, sport, music and animals in Canada (VIII1), Jamaica (VIII2), Ireland (VIII3), New Zealand (VIII4) and the UK (VIII5).

Seasons

In order to help my younger students learn the seasons and months more easily, I've grouped them and asked them to create a poster, showing also the activities that we can do in different seasons.
