USA Sports

My older pupils have recently joined another activity with our friends from Let's walk around the USA! eTwinning project. They've chosen one American athlete and designed a poster showing a few interesting facts about them.

They've also chosen a popular sport in the USA and written down a few interesting things about it. Once again, I've reminded them to respect copyrights and not just copy-paste from different internet sites.

Teen Camps

Imagine you're the manager of a teen camp. Design a leaflet to advertise your camp. Don't forget to include the following:

• the name of the camp,
• what type of camp it is (sports, arts, technology, adventure),
• what activities someone can do there,
• who it is suitable for (age of participants, interests),
• dates it is open,
• fees (if it's not free).

Use a free Canva template for this task. Make sure it is effective, attractive and appropriate.

Summer Holidays

Do you remember your holiday last year? Write about it.

• Where did you go? Who did you go with? How did you travel?
• Where did you stay? How long were you there?
• What did you do there? What did you see? What was the weather like? Did you have fun?
• Why did you like it?

Last year i was in Slovenia with my parents. We were on a lake called Bohinj. We traveled by car.
We rented a wooden house and stayed 7 days. We didn't swim but we walked a lot and rode the bikes, and played football and badminton outside. We saw beautiful lakes of Bled and Bohinj, and Savica Waterfall.
The weather was sunny but not hot. It was a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed with my mom and  dad.

Last year I went to the seaside in Greece. I went with my family. We travelled by bus.
We stayed at a hotel. We were there for ten days.
I sunbathed and swam there. We saw lots of fish, jellyfish, crabs and one small octopus.
It was very sunny and warm. I had a great time and fun at the seaside.

Last summer holiday I travelled to Greece. My family and I went to a town called Syvota.
I was in Greece for ten days. I went to the beach every day. It was a lot of fun!
It was really hot, but it was so fun!
I liked it because it was so fun and I learned a little Greek.

Habitats

Since my Class 2 pupils found the topic of animals and their habitats very interesting, I asked them to bring their collage paper and design different habitats in their chosen groups.

As expected, this kind of group work improved their collaboration and creativity.

HIPPO 2022 Semi-finals

This year's HIPPO semi-finals were held on 8 April at Đura Jakšić Primary School as well.

My pupils tried their best to do their reading and writing tests, more challenging  than at qualifications, but it was not enough.
