Face to face with Monty

You can imagine the excitement of my youngest pupils when I showed them Monty this week and told them he's here to stay!

Bedum ... Bedoo

This is 1 of the most favourite new songs of my younger pupils. It's perfect for expressing likes and dislikes:

I love fishing,

I love flying kites,

I like taking photos,

I like riding bikes.

I love fishing!

Bedum ... bedoo.

I love swimming,

Playing hockey too,

And I love painting,

With the colour blue.

I love swimming!

Bedum ... bedoo.

I don't like driving,

Or flying in a plane,

I don't like cleaning shoes,

I don't like running for a train!

Bedum ... bedoo.

I don't like cooking,

Or playing the guitar,

I don't like badminton,

Or cleaning my dad's car.

I don't like it!

Bedum ... bedoo.

Five fat sausages

This is how my younger pupils performed the well-known song in June 2014:

It's morning

This song is great for revising parts of the day, meals and food. Although we hadn't come up with any choreography, my younger pupils enjoyed singing it.

It's morning, it's morning.

We're having breakfast with our mum.

Bread and milk, bread and milk.

It's morning, it's morning.

It's lunchtime, it's lunchtime.

We're having lunch with our friends.

Egg and chips, egg and chips.

It's lunchtime, it's lunchtime.

It's afternoon, it's afternoon.

We're having tea in the garden.

Chocolate cake, chocolate cake.

We're having tea in the afternoon.

It's evening, it's evening.

We're having dinner with mum and dad.

Chicken and rice, chicken and rice.

It's evening, it's evening...

Monty's Big Draw Gallery

Since my youngest pupils enjoy drawing and colouring, I've decided to download and print the Kid's Box templates, let my pupils colour Monty and friends, scan their works of art and enter the Monty's Big Draw Competition organised this year by Cambridge University Press.

Favourite TV Series

My favourite TV series is 'Montevideo'. It is about a football team from Yugoslavia who travelled to Montevideo, Uruguay, in 1930 to take part in the World Championship. In this TV series we follow them during their travel on a ship and their stay in Montevideo. We watch their matches and support them all the time.

The series is on RTS 1 every Sunday at 8 p.m.

I recommend it because the story is really good and the actors are excellent.
