Point to the window... (kids chanting)

Here's another action chant popular among my young learners:

Point to the window, clap, clap, clap,
Point to the door, clap, clap, clap,
Point to the board, clap, clap, clap,
Point to the table, clap, clap, clap
(and we added - Point to the chair, clap, clap, clap)

Point to the window, stamp, stamp, stamp...

This is how class I1 performed it in September 2012:

In my bag (kids singing)

This is yet another show-and-sing song for very young learners. This one helps them learn school objects in a fun way. My 6- and 7-year-olds enjoy it a lot.

Here are the lyrics:

In my bag, bag, bag,
Is my book, book, book,
My book, book, book,
In my bag, bag, bag,
Is my book, book, book.

(pencil, ruler)

European Day of Languages 2012

European Day of Languages was celebrated in our school on Wednesday, 26 September. The representatives of seven primary schools joined us for the first time. After the welcoming words of our school head teacher, a language quiz started. By the way, each team had four members.

In the first game, the teams had the task to write as many phrases with the word language. Then they answered some interesting questions about the language and words from various European languages. Finally, they played associations.

When all the points were summed up, our team was the best. However, the most important thing was that everybody had a lot of fun.

After the quiz, the contestants and their teachers read tongue twisters in various languages, Serbian, Hungarian, English, Italian and German.

Hop, hop, hop (kids singing)

This is how my 6- and 7-year-olds in class I3 are performing the "Hop, hop, hop" song:
