My students took part in the international HIPPO warm-up writing contest in December. Their task was to write about the best gift of all in no more than 50-80 words.
The best gift of all is my tablet. I got it for New Year as a gift from my dad and mum. It is white and its name is Xpad.
My tablet is not very big or heavy. I use it to surf the Internet, listen to music and play games. My favourite games are My Talking Tom, Sky Whale, Subway Surfers, Lep's World and Minion Rush.
For me, the best gift of all is my Santa pyjamas, a present from my parents.
My pyjamas are red and white, so I look like a real Santa. And, I am not a Santa without reindeer! My pyjamas come with brown reindeer socks, a gift from my sister.
This New Year's Eve will be very special because my friend also got the same one-piece pyjamas and we are going to celebrate it together in our Santa pyjamas.
The best gift of all is a special watch. It can get you back in time. It can even take you to the age of dinosaurs. You can see that wonderful world and a lot of dinosaurs of different colours. The watch can even tell you the story about their life.

My computer is big and black with good and loud speakers. It has got a clean monitor and a big keyboard. It has also got a small mouse and a clover mouse pad. My computer is quick.

I wanted those sneakers from the moment I saw them in the shop. I think that I run faster, jump higher and play better volleyball in them.
When I got them I was very happy. I love volleyball and this gift helps me to play it better than ever.

My father's name is David. He always smiles. My dad is funny and can sometimes get angry, but rarely. He can cook delicious soup. We play video games together.

He is very funny and silly. I love him because he loves doing different things than me. We talk about music and we have a band too. I play the electric guitar and Luka plays the bass. We train judo together and sometimes meet as rivals in the finals.
This is little weird, but I think that my world would be boring if we did and loved the same things.
