This January my Class 3/4 students and I took up another challenge and made two games/toys using recyclable materials.
Children wrote numbers on plastic caps and tried to throw them into two plastic bottles, one for odd and another for even numbers. In this way, they practised saying the numbers and also their 'basketball' skills.
They also made figures for tic-tac-toe and had lots of fun playing the
game. They used paper rolls for owls and egg boxes for pumpkins, because
our town is the world's largest winter resort of long-eared owls and
also the capital of pumpkins.
