Flower ABC

preview
Lily

Classes 3 and 4 students did research on national symbols and decided that lily is our national flower. You can see two lilies on the coat of arms of Serbia. We added it to the multilanguage European Flower Garden.

We also added some flowers to the flower ABC for the Languages United eTwinning project evaluation.

Different groups of students had fun playing the flower quiz.

Mother Language Day

This year's Mother Language Day was a lot of fun, thanks to various activities and challenges with our eTwinning friends.

My older students shared their favourite tongue twisters in Serbian and tried telling the tongue twisters in foreign languages.

A group of my younger students joined the online meeting with their peers from Spain, Ireland, Turkey, Ukraine and Serbia.

Rhymes

Inspired by the L@ngu@ges4all! eTwinning project task, two of my 11-year-old students wrote their first poems in English:

If you're sad, I'll be over there,
so you can come to me and tell me everything.
I'll be with you until the end.
My best friend!

Lara Avramov, V2

Happiness sweet like a candy,
smile as bright as a sun,
a look that says your every thought,
a touch that can fly to the sky like a butterfly,
tears that leave scars,
honesty lighter than snow,
that is love.

Love is just like fire in your heart.
The person that is the one you should love is like air,
it keeps  fire alive.
People you should not love have ice in their hearts,
your fire makes ice become water that kills your love.
But always have hope,
someone, the right one,
can make your fire become alive again.

Zoom meeting

Meeting, talking and singing with our eTwinning friends is always a lot of fun for my students. But, this time was a bit different because my students had to join the meeting from home.

That's why we first had our own meeting, just to check if everything was okay with audio and video.

With over 100 students who greeted each other, introduced themselves and later sang a well-known song, the meeting was a huge success.

Favourite Characters

My Class 5 students, the members of the eTwinning project Same Planet - Same Aim, have recently recorded presentations of their favourite characters. Jovana presented the Weasley twins and Lara talked about Luke Skywalker. We also added a few questions to make the presentations more interesting.

A collaborative e-book was created, too.
