Cool Cats

Class 2 pupils love singing this song. The funny 'Meow' sound always makes them laugh, and at the same time they get to practise clothes words.

I'm a cool, cool cat.
Meow, meow, meow!
I like this super hat.
I'm a cool, cool cat.

Cool shoes and cool jackets,
Cool socks and super shorts,
Cool T-shirts and cool sweaters,
And cool, cool skirts.

We're cool, cool cats.
Meow, meow, meow!
We like these super hats.
We're cool, cool cats...
Meow!

One Book, Many Languages

As part of our The Seagull and the Cat project, my younger pupils joined friends from Albania, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Jordan, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, and Türkiye to create a story together.

Class 2 pupils illustrated the opening sentence of Part 1, Chapter 2. They added their picture and Serbian translation to StoryJumper and recorded their voices. They were very happy and proud to share their work.

Class 1 pupils illustrated the scene from Part 2, Chapter 5. They also added their picture and Serbian translation to StoryJumper and recorded their voices. They were excited and proud to hear their voices in the story.

It was a joyful experience for both classes. Their drawings and voices made the story come alive, and they showed great imagination and teamwork.

Alongside the book activities, Class 2 pupils also learned how to make paper bracelets. They carefully followed the instructions, drew the hearts and wrote the words: The Seagull and the Cat. Those who dare can fly. They enjoyed the task and felt proud of their creations.

Seasons

As a follow‑up to the lessons on clothes items, I taught my Class 1 pupils the seasons through an old chant with movements:

It’s hot outside,
I wear T‑shirts and shorts.
It’s summer, it’s summer, it’s summer.

It’s cold outside,
I wear a jacket and a scarf.
It’s winter, it's winter, it's winter.

The pupils enjoyed acting out the words, which made learning both fun and memorable.

Clothes

Đorđe, I3
My Class 1 pupils enjoyed learning the names of clothes through a lively chant. Together, we drew a washing line and hung the clothes in the order they appeared in the chant.

At first, it was a real challenge since the chant is a bit faster, but soon they caught the rhythm and followed along, repeating the words and pointing to the drawings. It was a fun way to practise vocabulary and remember the new words!

Green Adventures

A group of Class 6 girls experimented with prompts in Canva and Copilot to design a female elf, around 12 years old, for the joint story. Later, they refined their prompt so that Copilot's picture came close to what they had imagined.

Finally, they read what their friends from the Green Pages project had written and decided to take the chosen characters on an adventure to Tara National Park.

Art Class Finale

In the final stages of the Art Class project, Class 2 pupils enjoyed colouring their part of the poster and were pleased with the result.

Afterwards, they completed the final evaluation, reflecting on what they had learned, which themes and activities they enjoyed most, and what skills they felt they had improved. Some of the stronger pupils supported their peers by helping them complete the survey, showing teamwork and cooperation. Their answers highlighted pride in their work and enthusiasm for future collaboration.
