With the help of their parents and older siblings, Class 2 pupils recently cut tangram pieces out of their books and glued them onto the cardboard.
After I showed them a few basic figures, we turned the activity into a fun competition. Working alone or in pairs, they tried to beat their own records. It was a bit tricky at first, but my 8‑year‑olds soon enjoyed creating different figures such as a fish, rabbit, giraffe, swan, and cat.
