First, they researched community rules that keep our town safe and friendly, such as Stop at signs, Keep our area clean, and Be polite and kind. They created a colourful poster called Our Community Rules! to show how small actions make a big difference. Then, they talked about how they feel when people don’t respect rules and made an expressive poster called It Doesn’t Feel Good! to remind everyone that kindness helps us all feel better. Next, they discussed what happens when people ignore laws or empathy and designed a warning poster called Big Problems! to show that following rules keeps us safe. After that, they discovered the benefits of living peacefully and created a bright poster called Together, We All Shine! They brainstormed ways to be good citizens—picking up litter, planting trees, helping others, and being kind—and made a cheerful poster called Let’s Be Good Citizens! Finally, they reflected on daily actions that show responsibility and created Real Life Choices!
Next, pupils created an imaginary city, suggested and voted for its name, and decided on the rules. After that, they discussed right and wrong behaviour by playing the True–Wrong Behaviour Game.
