By following a model on the board, my Class 3 pupils imagined and drew unusual creatures. They had to use different numbers and colours. 

This activity is perfect for revising the parts of the head, numbers and colours.

My dream job is to be a programmer for a big company.
I study hard so I can even get a chance to get into a big company. The one I really want to work for is Google.
I already have some experience with programming at school and with programming games at home.
I am currently not so good at programming, because I am learning two programming languages. I am better at Python which is harder than the second language I am learning.
I hope that one day my wish will come true.

There are many interesting professions in the world, such as: doctor, soldier or policeman. All these occupations are beautiful and interesting in their own way. When I grow up, I would like to be a firefighter.
Firefighters are brave and strong people. They are noble and always ready to help people who are in trouble or some danger. Firefighters are always ready to put out fire or help during floods.
They are very well equipped with helmets, fire suits and trucks. When a fire starts, firefighters use their red truck to reach the scene of the accident as soon as possible. Then, they use a siren and a rotating blue light. It is a signal for all traffic jammers to get out of the way and let them pass.
The telephone number of firefighters is very easy to remember, and it is 193.
I would like to be a firefighter because they are noble, strong and brave people.

My dream job is that of a car painter.
For a couple of years now, I have loved fixing up and painting bikes. My life's desire is to finish school for car painting. After school, I would like to get a job at a good car paint shop, where I would perfect that craft and after a few years, I would like to open my own company and hire someone else to help me.
I hope that my wish will come true, and the only way is to make an effort.

Summer Holidays

Last year i was in Slovenia with my parents. We were on a lake called Bohinj. We traveled by car.
We rented a wooden house and stayed 7 days. We didn't swim but we walked a lot and rode the bikes, and played football and badminton outside. We saw beautiful lakes of Bled and Bohinj, and Savica Waterfall.
The weather was sunny but not hot. It was a lot of fun.
I really enjoyed with my mom and  dad.

Wild Animals

 Our planet is home to about 30 million different kinds of animals. Some live in their natural habitats while the others live in zoos.

The polar bear is a very endangered species.
The polar bear is large and has thick white fur. Its eyes are small and not conspicuous. The polar bear's ears are also small and raised. Its nose is black and is above its mouth. Males are 2.4-3 m long, and females are 1.8-2.4 m long. The male is 1.3 m tall, and female is 1.8-2.4 m tall.
Polar bears live in the North Pole. They eat the fish they catch themselves. They weigh about 450 kg.
The polar bear is  very good at hunting and swimming. It lives for about 20 years.
These animals are interesting because they manage to survive at very low temperatures and because they live in places where there are no conditions for that.

Brown bear is an endangered animal.
It has got a short tail, small ears, a strong jaw, sharp teeth and brown fur. It weighs 130 kg to 300 kg. Females weigh about 100 kg, and males about 150 kg. It needs a lot of space to live, at least 250 km2. Brown bear usually eats berries, fruits, chestnuts, fish, dead animals. Its favourite  food is honey.
In Serbia, it lives on Golija, Kučaj, Jadovnik, Stara planina and Tara. It climbs trees and rocks, and goes to water to cool down.
It lives from 40 to 50 years.

Green sea turtles are endangered animals.
They live in the sea and eat fish and algae. Green turtles have shell on their back and four fins. Everyone thinks sea turtles are light green but they are in fact black or dark green. They mostly weigh about 200 kg.
This type of turtles can change the color of their shell. They can live about forty and fifty years.

One of my favourite species and the most interesting animals are wolves. They are national wild animals.
Wolves are very similar to dogs. They can have different colours of their fur which depends on where they live. Colour of their fur is usually a shade of brown or grey mixed with yellow. They have an excellent sense of hearing and smell.
They can live in different places and locations. They live in the forests and in the mountains. They are predators, which means their main food is meat.

My animal is called a panda. it is an endangered animal.
It is large, black and white. It is about 1.5 m long. They have a short tail and large paws. Its eyes are like those of cats.
It mainly lives in China. It feeds mainly on bamboo. On average it eats 9 to 14 kilograms of bamboo shoots every day. Males weigh up to 115 kilograms and females up to 100 kilograms. They live from 20 to 30 years.
This animal is interesting to me because it is cute and cuddly.

Koalas are medium sizes mammals. They are most often gray. Their ears and nose are large and their eyes are small.

The animal's name is the great bustard. It is an endangered national bird that nests on the ground.
The great bustard looks like a turkey but white on its head and neck and brown on the other part of the body.
The great bustard lives in Serbia in low grass and eats plants, bugs and seeds. It weighs about 15 kilos.
The great bustard can help people by eating pests on farms, and lives about 10 years.
This bird is interesting because it lives on the ground.

I celebrated my last birthday on 14 August 2020.
I invited ten friends. My mom made a fruit cake with biscuits, and bought some snacks.    My best friend Sara came first, and together we welcomed the other guests. When they came, we talked about a lot of topics. Then, we did a homemade performance, we played music and danced.
I had a wonderful birthday. I wish I could celebrate it that way this year as well.

I celebrated my last birthday on August 14, 2020.
Before my birthday, I wrote invitations and figured out how to organise a birthday party. I invited about 25 friends. My mom made me a nice cake.
The guests started arriving at around 5 pm. I received a lot of nice gifts, jerseys, T-shirts, school supplies, books, sneakers, and what I was looking forward to most of all  - soccer balls and football boots. At the birthday party, we played football, twilight, we talked, danced.... I blew out the candles, and my friends smeared me with icing after singing the birthday song.
It was very nice and I will try to spend my next birthdays like that.

I celebrated my last birthday on 27 October 2020.
A few days before the birthday I wrote the invitations and gave them to my friends. Ten friends were on my birthday party. My mom made fruit and chocolate cakes.
My birthday party started at five o'clock and then my friends came. I got various gifts and they were all so beautiful. We played various games and listened to music. When we sang the birthday song, I made a wish and blew out the candles.
It was very nice on my birthday and I had a great time.

The last birthday I celebrated was on January 17, 2021.
Before my birthday, I prepared my room for the party. I made a lot of balloons and prepared juice. I invited a few best friends and they all came. Mom made my favorite cake. It was chocolate cake.
All the friends arrived on time. I got perfumes, books and clothes. The best gift was from Luka - perfume and shampoo in the set. My friends and I made jokes, played video games, ate snacks and pizza, threw balls and played with rifles. We didn’t bang the pinata this year.
It was a lot of fun for everyone and we had a great time.

I celebrated my last birthday on October 7, 2020.
Before my birthday my friend Nikola and I  got ready for the party. We inflated the balloons. I invited 11 friends. My mom made a delicious cake.
The guests arrived at 4:30 pm. I got some shirts, one globe and some chocolate. My favorite one was the globe. We played hide and seek, football and games. I blew out the candles, and my friends wanted to smear  me with the cake but I ran away.
It was very good and I want my next birthday to be even  more fun for me.

I am lucky because I successfully celebrated my birthday in 2020 and in 2021. Covid started in March and my birthday is on February 22nd. But, there are a lot of differences between my 10th and 11th birthday. On my 10th birthday I invited more friends than I could on my 11th birthday because of the situation we are in now.
Before my birthday party I sent invitations to the guests and made a cake with my mom. I invited about ten friends.
Me and my friends played a board game, hide and seek and many more fun games. I got many gifts. I can't say which one is my favourite, because they are all wonderful and perfect in their own way. My family got me  a magic wand that looks exactly as Hermione Granger's.

I had my last birthday party in 2019. Before the party, I sent invitations to my friends. I invited everyone from the class. My mom made me a beautiful cake. I celebrated in the playroom. All the friends in the class came to me.
I got a lot of nice gifts: makeup, T-shirts, glasses, sweets...
Everyone made me happy.
My grandmother surprised me the most. She bought me an electric scooter. The party was beautiful. It lasted for three hours.

I celebrated my last birthday at home.
Before my party my mom made my hair style . Since it was a house party I didn`t invite many friends. I think I invited seven, but I`m not sure. My mom, my younger sister and I made my birthday cake. My friends came at three, maybe half past three. Most of the gifts were clothes. My favorite gift was from my mom. She bought me my first dog. At the party, we played games. I remember we played one game called Guess who.

My  favourite famous person is Uroš Petrović. He is a Serbian writer. His nickname is Uki or Urke. He always wears a black cap. He was born on 8th April 1967 in Gornji Milanovac, Serbia. He writes fiction and unusual novels. He is best known for his novels Riddle Tales and Mysteries of Ginkgo Street. From 2008 to 2013 he was the president of Mensa Serbia. He is a co-author of the NTC System of Learning and author of Riddle questions concept. I like to read his novels because I need to think and I like to solve riddles.
Uroš gets up at 6 am. Then he goes jogging. He has breakfast at 7:30 am. He writes novels and riddles until lunch. He has lunch at 1 pm. He rests and goes for a walk by the river. Then he goes to a coffee shop with a friend. In his free time he goes to the nature. After that, he takes a shower at 9:30. He goes to bed at 10 pm.

He gets up at 9 o'clock. In the morning Harry goes to get a coffee and has breakfast. In the afternoon he writes songs and goes to the studio to record them. In his free time he goes to the beach. Harry is special because he is kind, funny, polite, caring and smart.

My favourite famous person is singer Avril Lavigne. She is from Canada. She was born on 28th September 1984 in Ontario. She was only sixteen when she signed her first contract.
She gets up at eight o'clock. She usually runs in the morning. Avril writes new songs in the afternoon. She drinks coffee with her friends in the evening. Avril listens to music every day in her free time. Avril goes to bed at eleven o'clock.

My favourite famous person is Novak Đoković. He is a tennis player. Many call him Nole or Joker. He was born in Belgrade, on May 22, 1987. He lives with his family in Monte Carlo. He is considered one of the best tennis player of all time. Also, he has got a foundation and he is happy to help people who need help. He has won a lot of sports and other awards.
He usually gets up early and eats breakfast at 7am. Then, he starts his training. He has a break for lunch and eats chicken salad. After lunch, he does more training until he has dinner at 8pm. He goes to sleep at 10pm because his training is very difficult. When he hasn't got a training, Nole spends time with his family. He has got 2 children, a boy and a girl, and he likes playing with them the most. I think he is talented, brave and determined. Because  of that, he became number 1.

Meghan Trainor  likes going outside every day for a walk. Usually, she plays with her animals. She gets up at half past eight and goes to bed at eleven o’clock in the evening. Meghan eats healthy food. Sometimes she drinks fizzy juices and eats fast food but it makes her a little plumper.

I have one dark blue mattress in the corner by the TV. My room is big and full of toys. I mostly have stuffed toys. There is a chair in the elevator to keep from standing and a table if I'm carrying something from the outside is blue as the walls are, only darker. It's neither small nor big, it's enough for me because I don't need anything else.

My room is big and beautiful and occupies one part of the house. It is bright and spacious and has a poster of my favorite football player on the wall. In one part of the room there is my desk with an interesting lamp and a very interesting chair that rotates and can be lowered into a reclining position. I have a big ring on the door of the room where I throw the ball, and there is a football goal nearby that serves me for training. My dream house is in Novi Sad. It looks like a building with a helicopter on the top. There are lots of rooms inside. My room has a beautiful view of Novi Sad from the balcony. The rooms we use most often are the bathroom, living room, kitchen and bedrooms. Also my dream house has got a garage and a yard. Maybe my house is weird but I love it.

The Woman in White

Compare the book to the film with the same name.

The story is about two half-sisters, Laura and Marian, and their art teacher Walter, who solve the mystery of the enigmatic woman, dressed all in white, who Walter met in the beginning. It is divided in three parts.
They find out the woman's name is Anne Catherick, and she warned Laura that she shouldn't marry sir Percival Glyde, claiming he put her in an asylum because she knew a secret that could ruin his reputation.
In the meantime, Walter and Laura got closer and fell in love, but Marian requested Walter to give it up, as Laura was soon getting married. He was heartbroken, but he did as she told him and found a job for which he needed to travel to South America, to try and suppress his thoughts about Laura.
When Walter left, Marian asked Percival to explain his situation with Anne. Percival responded to this calmly, claiming he only did it because she was mad and that he wanted to do a favour to Anne Catherick's mother, and he requested Marian to ask her too, to confirm it. Marian wrote her a letter and she did confirm it as accurate, but she still wasn't satisfied.
From those moments, the story only escalated. When Percival and Laura finally wed, Percival revealed his true side, which was ruder and more ignorant. It was also confirmed he abused Laura when they were back from their honeymoon, and Marian swore she'll avenge her. They also met Percival's friend, who later turned out to be his ally in the wicked business they planned, Count Fosco.
I really liked the ending because Sir Percival got what he deserved and paid for his sins. Apart from him, everyone else was happy and joyful.

The story takes place in Cumberland, the north of England, in the 19th century. It didn't differ much from what I imagined, however, I expected the Limmeridge village to be smaller and less sumptuous. 

I imagined Walter to be exactly like in the movie - rather handsome, taller young man. I also liked his character, because he chose to give up Laura when he found out she was marrying someone else instead trying to persuade her to marry him forcefully. He also wanted to save Percival in the church, despite all the evil he did.
Marian was my favourite character. The actress in the film played her amazingly, brave and intelligent as she is. However, I did not imagine her look like she was in the film. When Walter first met her in the book, he described her as 'not at all beautiful', which gave me an impression of a woman who really doesn't care for her looks, and in the film she has her hair bonded and is very beautiful. That may be only due to Walter's type of a woman he likes.
I believe Laura was the 'sacrificial lamb' in the whole story, right next to Anne. She went through very much and I respect her as a person. She was described as a beautiful young lady with long, wavy hair and blue eyes. As for her personality, her sister Marian said she was an angel. Nobody deserves to go through what she did, but I'm glad she was happy in the end.
Sir Percival Glyde was the character I disliked the most. His attitude and behaviour was unforgivable. He was a man in his mid-forties, and he wanted to marry a woman half his age just for the money. Even when he was a villain, he wasn't so smart and only cared for himself.
Count Fosco was a character I did like, however. He was described as a fat man who liked animals as his own children. He especially liked mice. I think his actor in the film nailed it. He was also a villain, an ally of Percival's, but he seemed much more intelligent and much more intimidating than Percival. That is why I liked him. He was collected, and wasn't rash.

There weren't any particular parts left out from the book and the storyline wasn't affected much, but they changed some events. For example, in the book Walter left the two of his students so he could go to South America to clear his head from Laura, but in the film he was accused of undressing a maid named Margaret, which resulted in Laura being mad with him and him leaving the Limmeridge House. In the book, Margaret was a good character who took care of Laura while she was sick.
Another difference I noticed is that, in the film, Laura 'died' due to an accident - falling from a tower of the house. In the book, she fell ill and travelled to London to Count Fosco's house, believing Marian was there too, but she was tricked by Percival and Fosco, and then passed away due to a heart disease.
The reason for these changes may be for the story to be 'spiced up', but I personally don't think it needed anything like that. The other reason also may be because the directors of the film wanted to have a surprise effect on the viewers who read the book.
There is also a chance it might be because the director didn't like that particular event and changed it for something else.

The people who made the film did an awesome job for sure, I liked it, but it differs a lot from the book. A lot of events were changed, however, the end still stayed the same, so I think they did a good job.

I enjoyed the book more because  the plot wasn't so abrupt and it wasn't as dramatic as the film. Another thing is that I personally had a hard time understanding the British accent in the film, but even if I could understand it all perfectly, it wouldn't change much of my opinion.

Tom Jones

Choose two characters to compare and contrast.

The story is about Tom Jones and how he goes through all kinds of things, like his closest friend passing away or him cheating on Sophia. These things make him more mature and wiser.

Tom is a handsome man with blonde hair and brown eyes while Sophia has brown hair and, I think, blue eyes.

Tom is brave, strong and generous. His heart is from gold and has compassion for the poor, which at the time was very uncommon, but his fatal flaw is the lack of good judgement which is proved many times throughout the story.
Sophia is an exemplary woman who listens to her father. She is beautiful both from the inside and out. She is very mature and understands other characters despite her age. She is of strong will.

Tom treats other people nicely but he can be annoying at times. He likes Sophia and most of the people in his circle. Sophia treats other characters with understanding and care but that doesn't mean she won't talk back if you say something bad to her. She likes Tom and other people in her circle.

At first Tom is smart but not mature. As the story progresses, he becomes more mature and at the end he learns to have a better judgment. As the story progresses his dream is to marry the woman of his life, Sophia.
As for Sophia, I can't really say much. At the beginning of the story she is already very mature and smart and her character has already been developed at the beginning of the story, or that's what I think at least.

I've chosen these characters because I can relate to them. I've chosen Tom because he's brave and generous but also because he doesn't have a good judgement, like me. And I've chosen Sophia because she is mature and smart and I can be mature too if I want to.

I think I'm like Tom. Tom is brave and generous and so am I, but isn't too mature and lacks a better judgment, like me. But as the story progresses, he becomes mature and smart, and so will I as I grow up.
