Collaborative Colouring

My younger pupils joined their eTwinning friends and coloured the project name and a painting together in ScrapColoring.

Class 3 pupils coloured the first letter N of the project name while Class 4 first chose one of 12 pieces, then coloured it in pairs.

Van Gogh Recycled

Inspired by the works of Van Gogh, groups of my Class 4 pupils have created their versions of Van Gogh's masterpieces by using recyclable materials, mostly plastic bottle caps.

Each group provided and received feedback from the others.

We even organised an exhibition in the hall.

One of the recycled art works has become part of a virtual exhibition.Powered by emaze

Seasons

After learning a catchy song about the months of a year, talking about our favourite seasons and the reasons why we like them, I asked my Class 3 pupils to write a poem about the season they were born in. I shared a model with them, too.

Then, I asked them to make a line according to their birthdays. What followed was teamwork on posters. Divided into teams according to the seasons they were born in, my Class 3 pupils created their mini posters sharing their favourite activities, the food they eat and clothes they wear in that particular season, and, of course, their birthdays:

Finally, each team presented their creative works and received comments.

Restaurant

Soon after setting a virtual European dinner table, Class 6 pupils have joined their eTwinning friends in another mission - starting a restaurant for less privileged children.

First, they picked different foods and products from the virtual table to make a full course meal, then, they suggested the names of the restaurant in the Forum (European Little Cooks, International Magical Dishes, Grandma's Kitchen, My Way and Country Food were just some suggestions), voted for the best ones in their opinion, and finally created a menu.

HIPPO 2024

Three groups of my pupils, 15 of them, took part in this year's preliminary round of Hippo Olympiad. Both experienced competitors and those accepting this international language challenge for the first time agreed that the tests were easy, so we're looking forward to receiving good news in a few weeks.

The competition for local pupils was organised on 16 March in Đura Jakšić Primary School.

Monsters

By following a model on the board, my Class 3 pupils imagined and drew unusual creatures. They had to use different numbers and colours.

This activity is perfect for revising the parts of the head, numbers and colours.

A Dream Job

Think about what you would like to do in the future. Write about your dream job in 80-100 words.

Organise your writing into 4 paragraphs:
Paragraph 1: What is the perfect job for you?
Paragraph 2: What qualifications do you need? What kind of person do you need to be to do this job well? What are its good sides?
Paragraph 3: What are its bad sides? Is there anything about this job that you would not enjoy?
Paragraph 4: Why would you like to do that job? How would it make you feel?

My dream job is to be a fashion designer.
For this job, you need to know how to draw, to have your own style and materials. You need to finish Designer High School.
To do this job well, you have to be friendly, and not shy to meet co-workers and celebrities.
I would love to make clothes for famous people (singers, actors, and others). This is the good side of this job.
The bad side is to have deadlines or lack of inspiration. I would not enjoy long working hours.
I like this job and I would be proud of myself to do this job with celebrities.

Petra Gačka, VI2

My dream job is to be a programmer for a big company.
I study hard so I can even get a chance to get into a big company. The one I really want to work for is Google.
I already have some experience with programming at school and with programming games at home.
I am currently not so good at programming, because I am learning two programming languages. I am better at Python which is harder than the second language I am learning.
I hope that one day my wish will come true.

There are many interesting professions in the world, such as: doctor, soldier or policeman. All these occupations are beautiful and interesting in their own way. When I grow up, I would like to be a firefighter.
Firefighters are brave and strong people. They are noble and always ready to help people who are in trouble or some danger. Firefighters are always ready to put out fire or help during floods.
They are very well equipped with helmets, fire suits and trucks. When a fire starts, firefighters use their red truck to reach the scene of the accident as soon as possible. Then, they use a siren and a rotating blue light. It is a signal for all traffic jammers to get out of the way and let them pass.
The telephone number of firefighters is very easy to remember, and it is 193.
I would like to be a firefighter because they are noble, strong and brave people.

Vukašin Bajkin, VI2

My dream job is that of a car painter.
For a couple of years now, I have loved fixing up and painting bikes. My life's desire is to finish school for car painting. After school, I would like to get a job at a good car paint shop, where I would perfect that craft and after a few years, I would like to open my own company and hire someone else to help me.
I hope that my wish will come true, and the only way is to make an effort.

Famous Artists

In mixed international teams, my Class 6 pupils searched for famous artists, wrote their short life stories (Picasso) and about their style (Dali), and shared their famous works (Da Vinci), adding the source.

Famous artists

We've also created a guessing online game about one of the famous artists and shared it with our project partners.

Regional Foreign Languages Competition 2024

Two of my oldest pupils were among 50 Class 8 pupils who took part in this year's Regional Foreign Languages Competition held on 10 March at Vuk Karadžić Primary School.

To our great surprise, nearly half of them (23) ended the competition in first 3 places.

With 37 points, Vanja won the second place, while, unfortunately, Ognjen had 30 points which were not enough for the State Competition.

The types of tasks were similar to the test in the previous round.
