Favourite Possessions

Think about your favourite possession.

  • What is it? Why is it so special? How long have you had it? Was it a gift or did you buy it?
  • What does it look like? How big is it and what is it made of?
  • What do you do with it? How often do you use it? Where do you keep it?
  • Why is it so special?

My  favourite possession is my electric scooter. I've had my electric scooter for three months. It was a gift from my parents for New Year.
My electric scooter is big and fast. My electric scooter is made of iron and plastic. It  is black, yellow and grey.
I usually ride my electric scooter with my friends, when the weather is sunny. We  go to Old Lake or Big Park. I keep my electric scooter on my balcony.
My electric scooter is so so special for me because I really enjoy when I ride it.  :) :)

Petra Milica Fazekaš, IV1

My favourite possession is my laptop. It was a gift from my dad. I never had a laptop.
It's grey and black. It's kind of big.
I really love my laptop. I can play and download every game that I want. My sister and I use it and play games on it. I play with my friends on it, too.
It's special because I got it from my dad.

Nikolina Jovišić, IV2

My favourite possession is my phone. It was a gift from my mum and dad.
It's made of plastic and metal. It's grey and medium.
I often use it. I play games on my phone. I call my friends and family.
It's special because it was a gift from my mum and dad.

On 23 March, we visited two museums in Novo Miloševo, stepped back in time, saw some old farm equipment and learned how the people used to live in this part of the country.

On 24 March, we explored the Nikola Tesla Museum and the Museum of Science and Technology in Belgrade, heard interesting facts about the famous inventor and saw various life-changing inventions.

The Beauty of Spring

To celebrate the beauty of spring, I've asked my pupils to go out, explore the nature, take photos and try to write Haiku poems. I've explained to them the rules of such poems and we read some examples.

The poems are published in an online collection, together with the poems of our eTwinning friends from Lithuania, Poland and Turkey:

Tommy's in the Kitchen

Listen to my Class 2 pupils singing a song about problems in the kitchen. This song is also great for revising the food vocabulary.

Tommy's in the kitchen,
Come and take him out!
Tommy's in the kitchen,
Come and take him out!

I've got an apple in my sandwich.
I've got milk on my peas.
I've got juice on my sausage.
Help! Oh, help me, please!

Tommy's in the kitchen,
Come and take him out!
Tommy's in the kitchen,
Come and take him out!

I've got carrots on my pizza.
And a banana on my cheese.
I've got chicken with my cake.
Help! Oh, help me, please!

Tommy's in the kitchen,
Come and take him out!
Tommy's in the kitchen,
Come and take him out!

HIPPO 2022

Three groups of my pupils took part in the preliminary round of this year's HIPPO Olympiad organised on 12 March in Đura Jakšić Primary School.

As usual, the exam consisted of reading, the use of English and listening tasks. For some of them, it was the first competition, so it was a bit challenging.

By the way, over 66,000 pupils from numerous countries took part in this year's preliminary round.

My Robot

Imagine you are a robot designer. Describe your robot.

The following questions may help you:

  • What is the robot's name?
  • What does it look like? Is it big or small? What colour is it? Is it shiny or not? Does it wear any clothes? Has it got arms, legs and eyes? How big are they? What colour are they?
  • What is your robot like? Cheerful, serious...?
  • What is it made of? Metal, steel, plastic, recyclable material...?
  • What can it do?
  • Who is it for?
  • How can you order it? How much does it cost?
Have you ever heard of Bliblob? Well, now you have!
Bliblob is small, shaped like a snowman with no legs and two arms that look like snowman’s branches. The first thing you see when you look at him, is his big, black, shiny eyes. Bliblob changes colour depending on his emotions (in the beginning, he couldn't feel them, but since he's almost always next to humans, Bliblob started to act ... like a human in some ways). He's usually pink, due to the fact he's often happy. But he can be blue when he is sad, orange when he’s mad and angry, green when anxious etc. He isn't shiny neither he wears any clothes. When I programmed him, I thought of giving him clothes but it would look weird if a pink, snowman-shaped, cute robot wore clothes. Bliblob is made out of metal. Since he is pretty kind and good-hearted (and childish, because he absolutely loves balloons), he can help you with your homework and stuff like that. But, he is programmed to be able to talk in many languages and to be intelligent. Due to his intelligence, he helps me on my missions and fights against the villains and tells me if my plan won't work or if it would end up badly. He was meant to be sold, but he really grew to my heart so I don't see selling him in the future. He is my friend.
Jovana Karić, VI2

I hope I will become a robot creator one day. I like playing science-fiction games about the future world with a lot of inventions and robots. I think every house will have one or more robots.
My robot's name is the Tin Man and he is not big. He is colourful and very shiny. My robot doesn't wear any clothes because he has got a lot of buttons. He has got big eyes, three long arms and five short legs. His arms are silver, and his legs are silver, too.
My robot is funny and friendly, but sometimes he can be very serious.
The Tin Man is made of steel and iron.
He can solve difficult problems. He can run fast and he can climb fast, too. He can speak a lot of languages and he talks a lot. He tells others how they should behave when they meet aliens. The Tin Man can repair things in the house like computers, fridges, cookers and TVs. My robot can play board games with me and my family.
You can order this robot online. He is very expensive but he can make you happy and solve all difficult problems that you can't do yourself.

Miladin Božin, VI3

My robot's name is Darla. She is 20 years old and she is a cook. I like her the most when she makes muffins for me that she uses her fingers (a different filling leaks from each finger).
She has long blonde hair, small blue eyes, long lashes, and 3 long arms and 2 legs. She rides roller skates and wears a pink T-shirt and blue jeans.
She is made of metal and runs on batteries. She cooks anything anyone wants.
To order this robot, contact me. The robot costs 500e.
Vanja Badrljički, VI1
My robot's name is Toby.
He's big.It is blue. He doesn't wear any clothes. He's got arms, legs and eyes. His arms are 1m long and his legs are 1.5m long. His eyes are shiny and brown.
My robot is very serious.
He's made of plastic and metal.
He can walk, move his arms, legs and eyes. He can speak more than 10 languages.
He's for my sister.
You can order him on Google. My robot costs 10 euros.
