One Plastic Bag

Year 6 pupils read the book One Plastic Bag by Miranda Paul together and explored its important message about plastic waste.

After reading, they talked about the story and completed the post-survey, where they answered comprehension questions and shared their own ideas.

Inspired by the book, they wrote a story from the point of view of a plastic bag.

They illustrated their story using Storyboard That, combining words and pictures to bring their ideas to life in a shared ebook.

Through these activities, pupils practised reading comprehension, expressed their opinions, and used creativity to think about real solutions for plastic pollution.

The Lorax

Year 6 pupils read The Lorax by Dr Seuss together, discussed its themes, and checked their understanding by answering quiz questions.

Afterwards, they created a book report in Canva, added their own comprehension questions, and presented the story to their peers. To make their work more vivid, they illustrated it with AI‑generated images.

They also shared their favourite parts in polls.

Finally, they agreed on a wish for the planet and added it to the project's collaborative Wishing Tree.

Code Week 2025

We've marked this year's Code Week with our eTwinning friends.

Class 2 pupils drew the black cat, the seagull, the owl, and their favourite animals in pixels. They explored Zaply Code and Everyone Draw. It was a lot of fun.

We've added the activities to the EU Code Week website.

I Can School Challenge 2025

On 19 October, our team joined the national celebration of the I Can School Challenge in New Belgrade. Eleven school teams from across Serbia presented creative projects focused on empathy, innovation, and making a difference.

We were proud to share our story about responsible consumption and were invited on stage to share key highlights and take on a new challenge.

Later, we joined workshops led by volunteers and worked with students from other schools on fun and thoughtful tasks—lining up by birthdays without speaking, guessing who was leading group movements, writing funny poems about serious topics, and creating a sketch on gender equality.

Although we were not chosen to represent Serbia at the Be the Change conference in Japan, we returned home happy and inspired. The jury awarded us for golden hands and empathy, and shared encouraging feedback:

- Our project addresses an important global issue with clear, practical solutions.

- The Share phase stood out and made a strong impression.

We are thankful for the chance to learn, grow, and connect with others who care about change.

Pencil Holders

My Class 2 had so much fun turning toilet paper tubes into unique, colourful pencil holders, some all by themselves, others with a little help from their friends.

European Day of Languages 2025

This year, we marked the European Day of Languages with a variety of interactive and creative activities designed to spark curiosity, teamwork, and imagination.

My Class 2 pupils learned greetings and how to say “peace” in Italian, Greek, and Turkish with help from their peers across Europe. They also created a mini video dictionary of kind words, linking language and emotion in a playful way, and joined a memory game with flags.

Older pupils went on a virtual journey across Europe, discovering fun facts about different countries. The most creative ones wrote poems in English and translated the song “Voices of Europe”, composed for this year’s celebration.

The main event took place on 2 October in the school canteen, where Class 5 pupils, divided into five mixed teams, took part in quizzes on general knowledge and languages. They performed a choreography to the song “Voices of Europe”, a scene from the musical “Letter by Letter”, and a short sketch about cases called “The Toreador and the Bull.”

This was our 15th celebration at school and the 25th across Europe — a joyful reminder of how languages enrich our world and bring people closer together. As always, the activity is part of the Council of Europe's Event Calendar.
