Since small, long‑eared owls are the symbol of our town, I thought it would be fun to turn them into bookmarks. This generation of Class 2 enjoys reading, so the activity was a natural fit. With the help of several mums, pupils enjoyed a creative workshop and proudly designed their own owl‑themed bookmarks.
Traditionally, Class 6 pupils took part in the World of Long‑Eared Owls quiz. This year, however, I encouraged the girls to prepare a presentation for their classmates. The quiz that followed was a success.
