Tech Forum

Read these questions and think carefully about the pros (advantages/benefits) and cons (disadvantages/downsides) of such situations, giving your reasons for and against, with examples. What's your conclusion? Share your opinion on one topic in 100-120 words.

  • Should we download music or not?
  • Should every teen have a mobile phone?
  • Should teens play computer games?
  • Should teens have social media accounts?
  • Should online time be limited?
  • Should AI be used in schools?
  • Should schools ban smartphones in classrooms?

Remember to use linking words:

  • To list arguments, use: To start with, Firstly, Secondly, In addition, Moreover, Finally, Also
  • To introduce examples, use: For example, For instance, As a result, so that, such as
  • To show contrast, use: On the other hand, but, However, Still
  • To conclude, use: In conclusion, To sum up, All in all

In 2025, we have lots of apps and websites. We can use them to study or do other things. But there are hackers. Hackers can do bad things.
Some parents do not allow mobile phones. They think phones are dangerous. Other parents allow phones. They think teens can earn money or be safe.
Some websites are safe. We don’t need to give personal information. ChatGPT is one example. We can use it to study or cook.
TikTok has good and bad sides. We can learn what people think about apps and websites. But not all things on TikTok are true.
The Internet has good and bad sides. We must use it smartly. Some apps help us. Some can be risky. Be safe and choose well.

Darija Širjančev, VII1

The Internet has a lot of good sides. It helps people find jobs, download music, and learn how websites work.
We can talk with friends and family using apps like Viber, Discourse, and Snapchat. We can also play video games online and have fun.
A lot of people use the Internet to be creative. Some make websites that go viral. Others try, but do not live up to their expectations.
But the Internet also has bad sides. There are viruses, hackers, and scammers. These can cause big problems.
We should be careful online. Some websites can steal your information. Use antivirus software and avoid unknown sites. The Internet is great—but only if we use it wisely.

Nemanja Popov, VII1

Limiting online time has good and bad sides. It is not always easy to decide.
If teens go online less, they can spend more time with friends and family. They can play outside and have fun. They will also have more time to study and get better grades.
Parents may be happy. They do not want their kids online all the time. They want teens to sleep and focus on school.
But there are also bad sides. Teens may miss new things online. They may not watch their favourite shows. Sometimes they need to call parents, but they can’t if the time is limited.
Online time should be limited, but not too much. Teens need balance between real life and online fun.

Nikolina Pilipović, VII2

I think every teenager should have their own phone. Phones can be good or bad. They help with learning and school.
Teens can use phones to chat with friends from other countries. They can also play games and call their parents or family.
But phones are not always safe. There is violence online, viruses, and hackers. Phones can cause arguments and sleep problems too.
Some teens stay up all night looking at their phones. That is not healthy. The Internet has many dangers.
Phones are helpful, but they must be used carefully. Parents can limit screen time or talk to their children when needed.

Teodora Tomić, VII2

AI is a new technology. It can help with jobs and give fast answers.
Some students misuse AI. They use it to cheat on tests. That is not good.
But in schools, AI can help. It can make learning easier and more fun.
Still, schools must stay serious. Some classes can be fun, but others must focus. Students must also use their own ideas.
AI can help us, but we must use it carefully and not let it ruin our creativity.
AI should be used in schools, but only carefully. It must help—not replace—student creativity.

Vukašin Ćirić, VII2

AI in schools is a very controversial idea. Some people believe it can be misused and make students lazier. They worry that students might stop thinking for themselves if they rely too much on AI.
On the other hand, AI could improve school efficiency. It can help with complex problems and support students in different subjects. AI can also be a strong brainstorming partner, using its large database to explore the pros and cons of ideas that benefit schools.
It now seems that AI might have more advantages than disadvantages. But a lot of people think otherwise. They have lots of worries and concerns about its impact on learning, behaviour, and ethics.
In my opinion, I support the use of AI—especially for gaining knowledge. Still, I understand why others worry. It’s true that today, AI can be used for fake art or unethical things.
I hope that one day AI will be available for mild, responsible use in every school. If used carefully, it could support learning while still encouraging students to think on their own.

Working on problems

My Class 4 students joined or started discussion with other eTwinventors on today's problems, such as e-safety, internet addiction, air pollution, water shortage, car accidents, recycling or health, and suggested their solutions.

Two groups of students designed a poster offering tips for saving water and another one solving e-safety problems. Veronika from Croatia suggested planting more trees and flowers which absorb carbon dioxide and also release oxygen into the atmosphere, as a solution to the air pollution problem started by Nikola. Nataša shared her solution to the problem with forest fires started by Zeynep from Turkey - Don't start the fire near the forest! Always put out the fire when you're done with it!

SID 2022

We dedicated the whole week to talking about the good and bad sides of the Internet, sharing e-safety tips, playing quizzes and escape games, and doing other interesting and useful activities.

Class 4 pupils, members of the eTwinventors are on the stage project, drew and recorded some e-safety rules:

Class 6 pupils also did a survey about their favourite gadget (smartphone's No. 1), discussed how often and how they use them, and shared their thoughts about their presence in 20 years' time.

I use my smartphone to listen to music and play games. I think they will be around in 20 years because they will improve. Every new generation of smartphone is better and better.

Mia Pavlov, VI2

My favourite gadget is my phone. I use it to access the internet, play games, talk to my friends. I use it every day. I think there will be some kind of it in 20 years' time.

Lara Avramov, VI2

My favorite gadget is a smartphone. It is used by a combination of buttons and touches. I think that the smart phone is used by everyone in this world every day because it is important. I think it will continue to be used in the future because, as I said, it is important for sending SMS messages, phone calls, alarms, video games, online shopping, etc ... That's why I love and use it!

Dreams

Imagine you could be somebody else (a prince/princess, a wizard, a chef, a president...). What would you be like? What would you do?

Choose 5 people, or things, and share your dreams.

I sometimes imagine that I am a scientist. I do some experiments and help other people. Also I make new medicine and heal people from diseases. I would wear a white coat, protective glasses and a mask.

Lara Avramov, VI2

If I were an animal, I would be a cat, because they are calm(even though some of them have an endless amount of energy), friendly and cute, I love them.
If I were a color, I would be yellow, because of my personality which seems to remind people of that color. I am kind, outgoing and cheerful.
If I were a book character, I would be a mysterious side character, about who we eventually find out a bit more and turns out to be good.
If I were a wizard,  I'd go to Hogwarts, most likely be sorted in Hufflepuff and probably be friends with the Weasley twins, but also help the golden trio with beating Voldemort.
If I were a creature from a fairy tale, I'd like to be a fairy with white, shiny, long, straight hair and freckles. I would wear a white dress and have shiny light green wings

Magical Time of the Year

It's that magical time of the year, the time to enjoy the celebrations with our family and friends, eat delicious cakes and listen to catchy Christmas songs.

The Twelve Days of Christmas, Silent Night, Frosty the Snowman, Let It Snow!, Winter Wonderland, Deck the Halls, Noel, are just some of the classics. Which is your favourite one? How about reading or playing it?

In some schools and countries, people traditionally organise the Ugly Christmas Jumper contest or party. What's your favourite Christmas tradition? Have you got a favourite ornament? What is it?

I like Christmas Eve very much. In our country children go from door to door and recite Christmas Eve poems. After that, people give them candies, chocolates, walnuts, or apples. I like Christmas because Jesus was born on that day.

Vukašin Badrljički, IV2

I like Christmas and decorating a Christmas tree. I like the Jingle Bells song.

Teodora Tomić, IV2

My favorite Christmas tradition is family lunch at my grandparents'. I really like that. My favorite Christmas song is We wish you a Merry Christmas. I like all Christmas ornaments.

Books

As a warm-up  for their presentations of book reviews, I conducted an online poll among my Class 6 pupils which showed that the majority of them like action and adventure books, while some like comics and detective and mystery, and fantasy books.

I also asked them about their favourite time and place for reading books. And, if they could meet their favourite author or hero from a book, who that would be and what they would ask them.

Here are some of their answers:

My favourite place to read a book is my bed. I like when I get warm and cozy. I also like to read books in my free time.
I would like to meet Uroš Petrović and ask him:
1. How do you get an inspiration to write books?
2. What is your favorite book that you wrote and why?
3. How many books have you written?
4. Were you having fun while you were writing them?

Lara Avramov, VI2

My favourite place to read a book is under a tree when it's a bit windy and sunny. My favourite hero from a book is Hermione Granger. I'd like to ask her these questions:
- How do you always come up with a solution to a problem?
- If you and your friends were in trouble, what would you do? Would you protect them, attack the enemy or think of a solution that would do both?
- Are other students sometimes jealous of you being the best and does it bother you?

Jovana Karić, VI2

Most of all, I like to read early in the morning in my bed in silence. My favorite writer is the author of the book My Grandfather was a Cherry Tree, Angela Nanetti, and the hero - a boy named Tonino.
I would ask Angela:
- How did you come up with the idea to write the book My Grandfather Was a Cherry Tree?
- What's your favourite book?
- Where did you get your inspiration for writing?
I would ask Tonino:
- Who do you prefer, grandma or grandpa, from the village?
- How is the cherry tree today and do you climb it?

Teodora Nikolin, VI2

I like to read books on a couch while it's raining, I would like to meet Cristiano Ronaldo from the book Cristiano Ronaldo: The Rise of a Winner and I would ask him what it is like to be one of the best players in the world.

Marko Vidović, VI2

I like to read books on my bed when I have free time. I would like to meet Siniša Mihajlović from the book God's left foot and I would ask him what was his career like when he always scored with his 'magic' left foot.

Nikola Borić, VI2

My favourite place to read a book is my bed. My favourite writer is Desanka Maksimović. I like to read her books in my free time. And these are the questions I would ask her:
1. Why did you decide to be a writer?
2. What is your favourite book?
3. What is your favourite place to read a book?
4. At what age did you write your first book?

Sports

As a warm-up for our lessons on sports, I asked my Class 6 pupils a few questions:

  • What's your favourite sport?
  • What sport are you good at?
  • What sport are you not so good at?
  • What sport would you like to try? Why?

Here are some of their answers:

My favorite sport is ping pong. I'm good at ping pong and also basketball. I'm not so good at volleyball. I would like to try basketball, but ping pong is still my favorite. Basketball is kind of an interesting and fun game to play with your friends.

Nikola Andrić, VI1

My favourite sport is table tennis and I am good at it. I am also good at handball, but not at gymnastics. I would like to try tennis because the racket is bigger and the game is played outside.

Nevena Kiurski, VI1

My favorite sport is football.
I'm good at football.
I'm nod good at swimming.
I would like to try volleyball because it's an exciting sport.

Iva Kiš, VI2

My favourite sport is volleyball. When I played it, I was very good at it, but unfortunately I had to stop because of corona virus and my health. But I don't know if I'm good at it now.
I am not good at skating because I don't have so much balance when I am on moving things without a handle to hold on to.
I would really like to try figure skating because I like the costumes, they are shiny and they have so many bright colours. I've always loved being on ice and I love ice-skating.

Lara Avramov, VI2

My favourite sport is volleyball and I am pretty good at it. However, I am not good at football, because I find it really hard to run for a long time. I would like to try ice skating. It looks very exciting and fun, but I know it's also very hard.

Jovana Karić, VI2

My favorite sport is volleyball. Except for volleyball, I am good at athletics. But, I am extremely bad at basketball. Apart from volleyball, I would like to train swimming. It seems fun and challenging.

Teodora Nikolin, VI2

My favorite sport is basketball. I'm good at basketball. I would like to try handball, because it looks interesting to me.

Vanja Šibul, VI3

My favorite sport is handball. I play it with my friends most of the time. I love this sport. It is very interesting.

Healthy Habits

Vegetarian Day, Mental Health Day, Handwashing Day, Food Day, Apple Day, etc. All of them are in October and aimed at increasing the awareness and understanding the importance of living a healthy life.

So, how do you take care of yourselves? Why is it important to wash our hands and eat healthy food? What are your top 3 healthy habits?

I have 5 meals a day. I don't eat sweets, junk food and snacks. I have lots of sleep and exercise.
It's important to wash our hands not to get viruses. It's important to eat healthy food because our body needs vitamins, proteins and minerals to keep our body healthy and to grow and develop.
My top 3 healthy habits are:
1. Eat healthy food
2. Have enough sleep
3. Exercise every day

Lara Avramov, VI2

It's important to wash our hands because of viruses and bacteria.
We should eat healthy food to get everything our body needs. These are the ways I take care of myself: eat healthy food and drink a lot of water, exercise, take care of my mental health. But, it's not healthy to sleep for too long, to go on a too strict diet or drink too much water, to exercise too much or do any of these healthy habits with no limits.
For me, these habits are the most important:
- take care of your mental health; it's as important as physical health
- get enough sleep; school or any other things shouldn't influence it
- go outdoors every day; don't always stay inside on your phone during your free time.

World Animal Day

On World Animal Day, I wanted to hear my Class 6 pupils' opinion about keeping wild animals in zoos:

I think that we shouldn't keep wild animals in zoos. They should live in their natural environment. We should imagine how we, humans, would feel if we lived our whole lives inside of a little cage, watching animals laughing at us outside the cage and doing nothing about us being trapped, not helping us.
When I was little, I loved going to the zoo because all animals seemed happy and only one or two looked sad. Now, I know why I thought that. Some of them were born in the zoo and they don't have any idea how much they would prefer their natural environment than the zoo, only if they knew what it's like. The ones which are sad probably know how better they could feel right now if they weren't in a zoo.

Jovana Karić, VI2

I think that animals shouldn't be in a zoo because they are trapped there. The ones which are born in the zoo are used to living in a cage, so they don't know how it feels to be free.
I don't like that zoos exchange animals for other animals or sell them. Every living being should be free, in their natural environment.

World Water Day 2021

Living in a town whose tap water has colour, smell and taste, everything that the water isn't supposed to have, it's no wonder that my Class 5 students show concern.

I shared with them a video and asked them to share their thoughts about the importance of water, what it means to them and what they can do to save it:

For me water is a source of life. Without water life on the planet would not be possible. We will save water by not releasing toxins into the water. By using it sparingly. We will not throw waste in it.

Lara Avramov, V2

Water means life. No one can live without water. It serves for the life of all living beings. Water is used in industry, traffic, household. So we have to keep it. We have to preserve nature. All our waste will  eventually go to rivers and seas. We must not throw rubbish on the streets and in the woods. And our factories should take care of that. They must not throw waste into our rivers. We all have to save water because it means life.

Tea Balaž, V1

For me, water is the basis of every living being. Without it, our planet would be deserted. Regardless of its importance, people are ruthlessly polluting it. In Kikinda, the water we have is not drinkable. For me, water is the healthiest drink. I order to preserve it, we must not pollute it. It should remain clean for future generations.

Nikola Borić, V2

For me, water is a reason why all of us are alive. Without water, there would be no life on our planet. So, why would we pollute it and waste it? We need to be thankful for it. By polluting water, we are poisoning ourselves. I think that in order to save water we should not waste it while some people don't have enough water to live a healthy life.

Jovana Karić, V2

Water is all around us and we need it for life. It is very important and we can't live without it. We use it for drinking, washing and a lot more things.

Aleksa Vincić, V1

Water is the most important for our lives on the Earth. We must save water and nature . Clean water is the best what nature gives to us, and we must be thankful for that. Don't waste water!

Iva Todorić, V2

Water is the source of nature. Without it, we would not have a way to feed, the plants would not be able to grow, and some animals would not be able to live. We should not throw garbage into the water and we should save it.

Teodora Nikolin, V2

For me water is something very important in my life. I like it the most in terms of fun. I like to bathe in it and drink it. Water is my favorite drink. It is full of minerals and vitamins. Water is the source of nature. We all use it every day.

Mia Pavlov, V2

Water means life to me. It is very important for all people, animals and plants. We must keep water clean because we want healthy food, healthy people and healthy animals. We must take care and keep the water clean.

My Last Few Days

Being in a sort of isolation is not pleasant at all, but I'm glad my students are managing in this way or another.

Last week was the most boring in my life. Because of the epidemic, I can't go out of my house, I can't go out with my friends, I can't go for a walk ... I spend all day at home watching classes and watching movies. I spend time with my family only because they are in the house all day too. We play  games or talk. I get up late, go to bed late. Before going to bed, I talk to my friends and other relatives. I hope this epidemic will end quickly because I cannot stay at home
Aleksandra Sudarov, VIII1

My last few days were pretty dull. Usually I  watched TV shows and films, walked my dog and chatted with my friends. My friends and I were only talking about how much we miss each other and how we can’t wait to go back to school, if that even happens. I finished all of my exercise books for my exam. I finished them really fast because I was really bored and had nothing to do. Every day I played with my dog on my lawn.

Milica Jovanović, VIII1

I spent my last few days staying at home. I was usually drawing or doing my homework, while my sister was studying and having online classes with her faculty professors.
My mom was preparing the rest of the dinner when I helped her make pancakes two days ago. It was my first time making them, so I got not only experience, but a few burns.
I was often looking for my knitting needles, but I never seemed to find them.
I was always making sure to be moving while in the house, and I always tried to catch a moment to go outside, since these days was a privilege to have a backyard.
Nevertheless, I was never bored, and I always had something to do, either schoolwork, chores or hobbies.
Aleksandra Bajić, VIII1

Well, for the last few days i have been at home like my mom and realized this very seriously. I washed my hands very often.I was mostly inside and tried not to go out, but when I did I wore a mask and medical gloves.
Because of virus we didn't go to school and we had lessons on TV. I spent a lot of time learning and working on biology and history projects. Because I couldn't train, I did exercises at home, listened to music and watched series in my free time.I also helped my mom in preparing lunch and dinner.
I was not bored at home, I was busy all day. I wanted everything back to normal and to get back to training and school.

Anja Ristić, VIII2

Staying in the nature and training are the best physical activities, but due to the new situation it is forbidden to go out and train. Because of this, I try to organize myself to maintain my physical activity and health.
Staying at home for the last few  days was boring. As much as I was trying to have fun, nothing can replace hanging out with friends, training, cycling... I woke up early to have more time for all my daily activities. When I had had breakfast I tidied my room. Then my mom asked me to do some housework, such as ironing, washing the dishes... After all the housework, I did school projects on Google Classroom and helped my sister with her homework. Then I watched digital classes and wrote down the most important ones. In order to maintain my physical activity every afternoon with my mom and sister, I did muscle exercises. Since I had more free time I tried to spend it with my family so we watched movies and played board games. It was fun. Since I don't see my friends, we talked on the phone every night.
That's what my quarantine days look like. I can't wait for this to be over and I can visit my grandparents again, see my friends and spend time outside.
Nađa Blažić, VIII2

We are all aware that the new Corona virus has changed our daily lives. We all have to stick with some rules in order to be safe. That includes online school and social distancing.
In this period of my life I try to be as productive as I can and not waste my time watching my phone. Every morning I finish my homework so I can be more organized throughout the day. Other things that I like doing are cleaning my room, so I can get rid of the things and clothes that I don't need.
The better side of this whole situation is that I can spend more time with my family. We like watching movies in the evening and playing board games.

Marina Lovrić, VIII2

For the last few days, I've been doing the same things. When I get up in the morning I get dressed and eat. Then I play games with my friends online, watch TV classes and do homework. I watch a movie with my family in the evenings and it's like that every day. Sometimes I do some training exercises in the house and sometimes I go outside. Mostly I get bored, but sometimes I find a way yo have fun.

Uroš Ćirić, VIII3

Everything has changed since they discovered that there were people infected with COVID-19  in Serbia. There are rigorous rules and restrictions that we must all follow. Life is very different.
I've spent the last few days in the house. In the morning I went to the store wearing a mask and gloves. Then it was time to do y homework. My older brother and I did our homework on a laptop by taking turns. While I was practising the piano he was finishing his homework. Then I listened to my classes on TV for two hours. After that, my brother was listening to his classes while I was having a class with a piano teacher. I had music theory classes for high school enrollment. In addition to all this, I washed my hands a hundred times yesterday.
I miss my classmates and some teachers. I miss walking to school. I'm tired of phones and laptops and washing my hands and wearing protective gear every time I go out.

Anđela Mičik, VIII4

I really haven't done much these days. I mean, it is expected because of the COVID-19, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have interesting stories.
For a long time I was spending my days in my home with my parents and that was it. I sometimes played card games and watched TV with them, but I didn’t do anything else besides the usual. I couldn't visit my grandparents and I just stayed at home while playing video games and watching classes on TV.
But 3 days ago, even though I shouldn’t have done it, I decided to walk around for like an hour a day around my neighborhood and surrounding streets. This changed a lot because I could get a bit of fresh air while everything was closed. This meant I saw what the streets looked like when there was nobody walking, driving or riding a bike. It meant I saw a lot of chirping birds and elegant cats. This was semi-surprising because I did expect that there would be cats and birds, but I didn’t expect how many there would be. It was more eventful than I thought.
How were your days? Hopefully they weren’t boring or bad.

Kidnapped

Describe your least favourite character

My least favourite character was David's uncle Ebenezer Balfour.

When David's father passed away David needed to take the letter to his uncle. He walked 2 days until he got to the house of the Shaws. His uncle was living in that house. When David settled down his uncle told him to go outside and upstairs to get one box filled with papers. Because David's uncle didn't use lights David needed to go in the dark and he could easily die on those stairs. His uncle gave him also some money because he was supposed to give it to Alexander but he didn't. David knew something was going on because his uncle was trying to kill him.

Alexander was David's father. He passed away three weeks before David came to his uncle. That house belonged to Alexander and because he was dead the house was supposed to go to David. That is why his uncle was trying to kill him. Then he would not have to give the house to David.

Ebenezer is my least favourite character because he was trying to kill his nephew instead of trying to connect to David and to live with him.

My favourite day of the week

Monday is my favourite day of the week.
On Monday, I always wake up at half past six and have small breakfast with my sister. After I dress up, I walk to school with my friends. My first class is German. After that, I have Geography, PE, Maths and Serbian.
After school, I go home and do my homework.

Milica Jovanović, V1

Tuesday is my favourite day of the week.
In the morning, I usually get up at 6.15. My mum prepares breakfast. At 9.30 I'm on my way to school, where I have IT. After IT I get ready for school and have lunch.

Gadgets

Write your opinion on any of the gadgets we use nowadays. You may use the following model:
P1: State the topic
P2: Advantages + examples
P3: Disadvantages + examples
P4: Summary (conclusion)

Up until now kids have had sports equipment, tape recorders and radios in their rooms, but these traditional items are gone and modern technology, like PCs, games consoles, phones and other things have come into their lives.
Computers have changed the lives for many teenagers and kids. They spend more time in their bedrooms, with the computer screen in front of their eyes rather than playing outside or hanging out with their friends.
The advantages of the computers are that they can help you with your homework. Computers can also be useful in different ways, like listening to music or video chatting.
The disadvantages are that they can cause addiction of gaming and eye disorder.
You have to be careful with computers and take care of your health.

Marko Dejanović, VII4, 27 March 2015

Nowadays we cannot imagine living without a mobile phone and the internet.
The internet has both good and bad sides. What I like about the internet is that I can communicate with people whenever I want. Also, the internet allows people to play a lot of interesting games and to learn everything they want.
However, the internet is not always so useful because not all information is accurate. We can surf the internet on our mobile phones and computers.
Mobile phones are useful because we can use them to communicate with our friends whenever we want.
Modern technology has enabled today's society to stay up to date with the whole world and everything that happens almost anywhere on the planet.

Emilija Mijandžić, VII4

Everybody loves spending time in front of their computer, but it is sometimes not good.
Spending a lot of time  in front of the computer screen can cause a lot of problems. Too much looking at the screen can harm your eyes and sitting in the wrong position can damage your spine.
The computer can also be good. We can send an email, listen to music and surf the internet. we can write a document, keep the pictures and much more.
The computer should be safely used in order to avoid problems.

Andrea Ružić, VII4

There are a lot of electrical items which make our life easier. One of them is a computer.
Although computers are a very important part of our lives, there are some bad sides in using them. A lot of kids sit in front of them for many hours and that is bad for their eyes. Some of them get fatter and their health gets worse because they don't play outside, ride bikes and run.
However, PCs have good sides too. We can watch films, listen to music, write, draw and other things. We can also keep a lot of information and pictures in a computer. We can find the news in the world thanks to the internet.
If we use PCs in a right way, we'll become smarter, but we shouldn't sit in front of them for so long, or we'll become heartless.

Bojana Groza, VII4

Of all the gadgets, I mostly use my PC. I got that computer for my birthday. It is not new but I am satisfied with it.
A PC is very useful. You can play games on it. I mostly play action games.
Computers have another good function, the internet. If you need to present something, you can download files from the internet. On the internet we have social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Over them we can catch up with our friends.
On the other hand, PCs, especially the internet, have bad sides. Some data can be misused. In fact, some people misuse  them. We need to be more careful when we put the information on Facebook.
In my opinion, a computer is a good thing. we just need to use it carefully.

Jožef Horvat, VII5

There are a lot of gadgets which can help us. I usually use a mobile phone, a digital camera and a laptop.
When I want to download music I just press the download button and I can play the music. By watching TV I can see the whole world, different countries and people. I can hear the latest news on television and we can study some interesting facts.
However, if teenagers play video games for too long, they can damage their health, sight or back. Teenagers can forget to do their homework or go out with their friends. Up-to-date gadgets can also cause more stress.
Gadgets are great for staying in touch, but we must be smart when we use them.

Aleksa Francuski, VII1, 1 April 2015

There are too many kinds of gadgets. They can be good and bad for us.
My favourite gadget is a mobile phone. It is really useful, but can also be bad.
You can make phone calls with your friends and always stay in touch with them. Also, you can send text messages. One of my favourite things is that you can listen to music, all kinds of music. Those are some of the good things about mobile phones.
Unfortunately, mobile phones have bad sides, too. They are expensive to use, especially this new generation. It can be stressful because you don't know who will send you a message and if that message will be rude or something good. Mobile phones can also go wrong in no time.
I really like my mobile phone, and it's really nice to have one, even if there are some bad sides!

Dušan Bačkuljin, VII1, 1 April 2015

Today, gadgets are the most important things in our lives.
Mobile phones, laptops, TVs, computers are useful gadgets, but they are not always good.
Mobile phones with too many functions can be too much for teenagers and they are also expensive. The packs for unlimited network wherever you are don't exactly do that. They give you the Internet when you pay a bill at the end of the month.
Laptops are dangerous for our intimate body parts when we hold them in our lap.
Teens sit all day long in front of the computer, chatting on Facebook or playing video games.
Gadgets are also very useful for communication with family and friends. You can take your mobile phone and laptop almost everywhere you go.
I think that gadgets are really the most important things in our lives and that after a couple of years everybody will have a mobile phone. Today, almost everything is a flat-screen gadget. We have touch-screen mobile phones, plasma TVs and also touch-screen monitors.
There are more bad than good things about our gadgets. They are not that great as most people describe them.

Julijan Cimerman, VII4, 2 April 2015

Mobile phones are very useful. We use them every day.
We can call someone or send text messages wherever we are. We can also listen to music or play games. Also, we can take pictures of beautiful places or our and our friends and us.
However, they have bad things about them too. Mobile phones are expensive to use. They are bad for our health too. If we use mobile phones too much, we will forget to do our homework and study.
I don't use my mobile phone too much, because I know that it's bad for my hearing.

The Future Schools

In my opinion, life will change for the better in 100 years' time. I believe we will live more easily and maybe have robots to do all the work.
Students will go to school in a spaceship because the school will be on Mars. They will use lifts to go to the classrooms. The board will be electronic. Children will not write anything. Robots will do everything. They will do the tests, written paper and homework. After school, children will go to the playground. In the afternoon, they will return back to the Earth. While students are at school, their parents will work at factories where they will control the robots.
All in all, to me, the future will be a better place for everyone.

Jožef Horvat, VII5, 16 January 2015

I believe that life in the future will change. I think that everything will be better.
Schools will be bigger than now. Students will have laptops and do their homework on them. They will leave their books in the classroom. Students will not have schoolbags. They will only carry their laptops to school. It will be super! When students get a mark, their parents will see it on the internet. But, students will do their tests on paper. The teachers will be better than now.
Children will not have a snack at school. They will not have holidays, just one in a year.
In my opinion, children will not like that life in the future.

Daniela Marton, VII5

Modern schools will be fun and exciting. Children will learn gladly. Going to school will never be boring. There will be smart boards, Internet connection, smart phones and tablets in every classroom. Texting, using Facebook and Skype will be okay. Teachers will teach lessons by using Skype and ask students to send their homework by using e-mail. Students will no longer use notebooks, pencils and books. Snack will be served by robots and all students will be able to choose what they want to eat or drink. High-tech schools will be exciting. I am sure all students will learn with pleasure.

Emilija Mijandžić, VII4, 16 January 2015

How will school change?
Firstly, students will carry notebooks to school, but will write on their tablets. Secondly, there will be a digital table in the classrooms. Finally, the lessons will last 30 minutes.
How will homework change?
Firstly, when students come home from school, they will do their homework on their computer. Secondly, homework will be sent to the teacher via e-mail. Finally, the teacher will review the homework and return it corrected via e-mail.

Andrea Ružić, VII4, 16 January 2015

Twenty years ago kids walked more than ten kilometres to get to their school. Many years have passed and today most kids go to school by bus, car or bike.
Kids used to use ink and a quill to write on paper. Kids today use modern pencils and paper with more quality, so I think that a lot of things will change in twenty years.
Kids in the future will use self-driven cars or bikes. Students will not use any more pencils and paper, but instead, they will work on tablets or modern laptops. Teachers will use a video-beam to give their lectures. Even more, in the future, students will use special glasses to turn their lessons into virtual reality, and teachers will use video beams sensitive to the touch.

Life in twenty years

I think that in twenty years everybody will be using new technologies. Everything will be done using computers. We will no longer be sending letters, but everything will be done electronically, through laptops, phones and smart devices.
I believe most people will be using robots. Time travel will be possible, too. Students will be using tablets at school and at home. All lessons will be held with the help of computers. Children will only play games on phones, computers, tablets and consoles, and use the Internet to communicate. Life in twenty years will be very exciting.

Emilija Mijandžić, VII4, 15 January 2015

Life in the future will be very difficult. We will not have time for celebrating.
People will work from mornings until evenings. We will have robots that will do all the housework. The children won't have toys, they will play video games on the computer.
Schools won't have teachers. Robots will teach children.
We will have flying cars and buses. Trees and plants will not exist, because we will have some machines that will make oxygen. We will have animals just in the zoo, but dogs and cats will live in our houses.
The future is not as pretty as we imagine it. If we continue to pollute our nature, our lives will be hard.

Favourite Sports

My favourite sport is tennis. It is a very interesting sport. Unfortunately, I don't play it very often. Also, I don't play it professionally, but I train every day.
I usually play tennis with my friends during the summer holiday. From time to time my friends and I play it in front of our building, on the children's playground. We act like professional players.
Everybody has a personal uniform and a racket just like on a great tournament. During that game I feel like a big star like Novak Đoković. It's my dream to be a popular tennis star. But i think that is just a dream, because I don't play tennis professionally. I mean, yet.
So, I like tennis and I play it always when I don't have much homework.

Anja Živić, VI3, 11 April 2014

My favourite sport is tennis. Tennis is a lot of fun.
My favourite tennis player is Novak Đoković.
Tennis can sometimes be a dangerous sport because you can sprain your wrist.
For tennis we need a ball, tennis racquet and tennis court.
I love playing tennis with my friends. Maybe we don't have a tennis court, but we enjoy playing it anyway.
I love tennis so much because it's interesting.
